Countdown to Special Olympics Football kicks off in Coimbatore
CHENNAI, India. – In advance of Special Olympics International Football Championship 2019, hosting partner Evoke Media held a series of fun football activities for the corporate employees of RMZ IT Park on the 20th and 21st of June.
For the third time since the beginning of the Special Olympics, the Special Olympics Torch, the “Flame of Hope” arrives in India.
25-year-old Sneha Verma of Kharghar, Mumbai, was born with Down Syndrome. Her condition, however, did not prove to be her adversary. Watching other Indian athletes shine at the Asian Games fuelled her dream to make her country proud in an international tournament.
For the first time in 51 years, India will host 20+ football teams from around the world for the Special Olympics International Football Championship 2019. Both men’s and women’s teams will compete for the Championship Cup at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai between August 3rd and 6th, 2019.
